| Colin East (PhD, B.Mgt)
Colin is a certified Geographic Information Systems Professional - Asia Pacific (GIS-AP), which requires a high level of professionalism from its practitioners (similar to the more commonly known accounting certification - Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)). Coin has more than 12 years experience in the geospatial industry, working in both the private and public sectors for organisations such as state wide utilities, large State Government departments and city councils in roles that include organisation strategy development through to system implementation. Colin has managed both small and large system implementations including large high-availability (24x7) systems used by more then 750 users across the states of South Australia and Victoria.
Colin’s qualifications include undergraduate qualifications in Management and Information Systems and his PhD researched the implications of geospatial technologies on strategic agility. Colin also teaches Geospatial Database Design at TAFESA as well as being involved with teaching post-graduate Management students at the University of South Australia.
Colin’s knowledge and experience enables him to quickly understand our client’s geospatial needs, something generic recruitment agencies struggle with. This specialist understanding also applies to candidates and leads to a better match between client needs and candidates’ future geospatial career aspirations.
