| Omar I am applying for the position in your organization. The position seems to fit well with my education, work experience and career goals, also I am looking forward to a position that I can be enthusiastic and self motivated.
With a B.SC in Computer Science – Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt and a Master Degree in Business Information Technology (BIT) from MiddleSex University, England, I strongly feel that I can fit into the required area of technical interest.
I have over 17 years of experience in GIS- mapping. I am a highly productive, motivated individual and self-starter who established the first GIS division for the Central department of Statistics and Information, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
I am skilled in the use of ESRI related software and mapping systems, such as ArcGIS, ArcObjects and ArcInfo. And ArcGIS Extensions, additionally, I have deep skills in GIS data integration and processing, compiling, analyzing, and interpreting data (Geodatabases).
During the last 2 years I Worked with Riyadh techno Valley, King Saud University and my main responsibility is to supervise the engineering and technical affaires department which main focus on developing the Valley as a 4th generation science park via introducing smart services facilities and sate of the art infrastructure, the valley when finished will be considered the silicon valley of Saudi Arabia.
Just before that I worked for 7 years with a global organization "Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH" and gained a good experience throughout the number of Projects I was involved in such as Strategic Planning, Organic Farming Development, and General Census for Population and Housing.
Before that I worked for 9 years in the cabinet of Egypt and had good experience in different development sectors throughout different type of projects like Urban Planning Management, Socio Economics, and Environmental Management, also this gave me the opportunity to participate in multinational projects like Environmental Information System for the State of Kuwait.
During my whole working period I was responsible for different tasks with regards to Database analysis and design, System implementation and integration, Cartographic design and production, Manage resources and schedule of the projects, Providing professional consultancy services such as technical support, training, on job training, and data quality assurance, Providing overall project management (planning, administrative) and coordinative responsibility for the implementation of projects, Long and short term planning, and Writing progress and technical reports including long term strategic plan.
I have approached my work with a strong sense of urgency, working well under pressure and changes. I am considered a forward thinker who has a strong commitment to the organization I work for.
